Events

Our Events

The KGELL Action organizes a diverse range of activities designed to foster collaboration between academia and industry. Our events provide hands-on opportunities to develop practical solutions and share technical expertise across the European research community.

We host several types of interactive sessions throughout the duration of the action:

Workshops & Seminars

Regular gatherings to discuss ongoing research, track outcomes, and engage with industry sponsors.

Hackathons & Datathons

Intense, collaborative sessions where participants work with specific datasets to ground research in practical applications.

Training Schools

Structured educational programs, sometimes held in collaboration with established institutions like the International Semantic Web Summer School (ISWS).

Webinars

Online sessions tailored for open-source practitioners and the general public to showcase technology and discuss societal implications.

Short-Term Missions

Dedicated exchange opportunities to support career development, particularly for early-career researchers.

Practical Information for Participants

Inclusivity & Support

We actively encourage participation from underrepresented genders and researchers from Inclusiveness Target Countries.

Remote Accessibility

To ensure all members can participate regardless of location, we make extensive use of teleconferencing technology for remote attendance.

Industry Involvement

Industry partners are invited to not only attend but also to sponsor events, contribute use cases, share sample data, or even host sessions.

Mentoring

Early-career researchers can participate in structured mentoring sessions during these events, pairing with senior experts for professional growth.
